This year's theme is Celebrating Saint Richard School. With the recent recommendations of the BRC fresh in our minds, we here at St. Richard School want to celebrate the beauty and accomplishments of our school!

At St. Richard School we are blessed with an incredible faculty committed to forming our parish children in Gospel values, dedicated volunteers who give of their time and talent in a variety of ways for the benefit of the school community, an active and strong Home & School Association committed to building up the school community, and the best students bar none! Come see what all the excitement's about during our Catholic Schools Week celebration!


Sunday, January 29, 2012 -
Opening Celebration!

All school families are asked to join in the celebration of the Eucharist at the 10:00 AM Mass. Students from grades 7 and 8 will read an essay at every Mass this weekend, the theme of which is, "What Saint Richard School Means to Me." Following Mass, refreshments will be served in the parish hall. Our teachers will be present for a "Welcome Back" Open House until 12:30 PM. The work of students will be on display both inside and outside the classrooms.


Monday, January 30, 2012 -
Celebrating Saint Richard's Community Workers

Community workers are invited to spend some time with our students. A schedule of visitors to the classroom has been arranged. Our community workers will share with our students some of what they do each day to make our community a better place.


Tuesday, January 31, 2012 -
Celebrating Saint Richard's Seniors

We celebrate our Senior Citizens! Selected classrooms will perform a little show for the Senior Citizens Group in our parish hall. The rosary we pray during Catholic Schools Week will be for our Senior Citizens!


Wednesday, February 1, 2012 -
Celebrating Saint Richard Students and Spirit

This day is reserved for the wonderful boys and girls who make up the St. Richard School Community. Students will "dress down" in specifics colors for their grade. Prizes will be awarded to the student in each grade voted to have the most spirit and to the class with the most spirit. Students will receive a free ice cream treat and participate in a special assembly at 1:00 PM.


Thursday, February 2, 2012 -
Celebrating Saint Richard School Families

We continue our celebration with the annual Grandparents luncheon, hosted in our parish hall! The students will perform a show for the Grandparents. Students will also work on a little "class project" for parents too.


Friday, February 3, 2012 -
Celebrating Saint Richard Faculty and Staff

Our final day of festivities celebrate the fantastic staff we have at our school. Our school community will gather at 10 AM for a special closing prayer service, during which they will have their throats blessed for the feast of St. Blaise. Students and faculty will both celebrate with early dismissal at 11:45 AM!

Then later in the evening we will host a Family Fun Night in the parish hall beginning at 7:00 PM.
